Flood cars, work trucks and the daily commuters
High River has around 14,000 people and a big employer in the Cargill plant, plus a lot of people who drive to Calgary. That gives us a mix: hard-driven commuter cars like Honda Accords and Toyota RAV4s that have passed 300,000 kilometres, trucks from the shops and ranches around town, and every so often a vehicle that was written off in a flood or a hailstorm and never left the property. Water damage does not stop us. A flood car still has its steel, its wheels and often its converter, and we price it on those. Trucks and SUVs are worth the most because they weigh the most.
There is also a steady stream of vehicles from Foothills County acreages between High River and Okotoks: an old F-150 that plowed the lane until the frame gave out, a Suburban that was the kids’ school car, a farm-yard van full of parts. These are exactly what we want. Bring the paperwork and we bring the truck.
